We are delighted to announce that, thanks to your incredible generosity, we have collectively raised an astonishing £2,110 for shelter during our Christmas fundraiser!
Doubled by Reddit’s generous matching and further enhanced by £433.92 in GiftAid on top, making our total an amazing £4,579.13 (minus £84.79 in JustGiving fees)
JustGiving, a standard fundraising platform, takes a small cut of each donation. JustGiving’s fee is 30p plus 1.9%, totaling £62.59 from our donations. Gift Aid adds a 5% handling fee, amounting to £22.19. Therefore, JustGiving has taken £84.79 from our funds.
Reddit will match donations until the 10th, although we are no longer actively promoting it. However, you can still donate below. We will provide a detailed breakdown of costs after. As of now, we have raised £4,579.13 after costs.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has donated! Your generous contributions would have made a significant difference, providing:
- 130 calls to shelters’ helpline
- Over 183 web chats for individuals facing homelessness
- Over 23 legal advice sessions to assist a family in crisis at their home.
Thank you for demonstrating the power of collective action and showcasing what we can achieve when we work together. Wishing everyone a joyous and hopeful New Year filled with kindness and compassion!
Warm regards,
The r/UnitedKingdom Mods
