Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the added 1.26%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:), which rose 6.10% or 16.40 points to trade at 285.10 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:) added 4.41% or 4.70 points to end at 110.10 and AB SKF B (ST:) was up 3.68% or 7.60 points to 214.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:), which lost 9.33% or 0.44 points to trade at 4.32 in late trade. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:) declined 3.82% or 1.70 points to end at 42.80 and Tele2 AB (ST:) shed 2.91% or 3.25 points to 108.30.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 450 to 336 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.87% or 0.64 to $74.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.88% or 0.67 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 18.76 to trade at $2,666.16 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 11.50, while USD/SEK rose 0.48% to 11.10.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.30.
