CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Walmart is kicking off the new year trying to make sure people stay healthy.
The Charlottesville Walmart was one of many stores that hosted a wellness day on Saturday, January 11.
Those who needed to get a screening done or stay up to date with their vaccinations could do so at the store.
The pharmacy manager says this wellness day event helps people who are between doctor visits and need an idea of their health status.
“I think wellness day is important overall for patient health,” Charlottesville Walmart Pharmacy Manager Cody Vandervort said. “We offered a great opportunity for the patients who don’t get to their doctor as often as they might like to, and just to check in on their health changes throughout the year in between doctors visits.”
