ATHENS, Ga. (WKYT) – No. 12 UK women’s basketball (16-1, 5-0 SEC) came out of the bye week strong, picking up a 78-64 road win at Georgia (9-11, 1-5 SEC).
Sophomore center Clara Strack led Kentucky’s scoring effort, notching a double-double with 25 points (9-19 FG), 12 rebounds, and four assists. Junior forward Amelia Hassett also had a double-double with 14 and 10, while fifth-year point guard Georgia Amoore gave the Wildcats 24 points and dished out eight assists.
The Cats go to Texas A&M (9-8, 2-3 SEC) on Thursday for a 7:00 P.M. tip-off on the SEC Network.
