Gain Solutions, the leading Puerto Rican consulting firm in internationalization and strategic development, together with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and Invest Puerto Rico, join forces to present the Spain-Puerto Rico Business Meeting. This event, which will take place on January 27 at the CEOE’s headquarters in Madrid, seeks to position the island as a strategic destination for investment and global expansion, connecting key markets in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
The meeting will include a welcome by Narciso Casado Martín, Director of Relations with Ibero-America of the CEOE, followed by key presentations highlighting Puerto Rico’s economic and strategic strengths. Panelists include Ella Woger-Nieves, Executive Director of Invest Puerto Rico, who will speak about the island’s role as a bridge between Ibero-America and the United States, and Francisco Luis, Tax Partner at Kevane Grant Thornton, who will provide a detailed analysis of Puerto Rico’s tax incentives. In addition, there will be a discussion with Karen Mojica, Director of Stakeholder Affairs of Invest Puerto Rico, and Víctor Sánchez, CEO and President of PharmaBioServ, where they will discuss the experience of Spanish companies in Puerto Rico.
Gain Solutions’ strategy will be based not only on highlighting Puerto Rico’s privileged location and competitive tax incentives, but also on highlighting access to the U.S. and Latin American markets. In this way, the consultancy seeks to consolidate the island as a key economic bridge between Spain and the entire American continent. In addition to fostering dialogue between leaders of strategic sectors, the event will serve as a platform to establish long-term partnerships and explore investment opportunities in high-impact sectors.
Gain Solutions, as lead organizer, will lead efforts to connect participating businesses with specific opportunities in Puerto Rico. Through its experience in internationalization and strategic governance, the consultancy will work to highlight how the island can act as a solid base for business expansion in global markets.
In 2023, Puerto Rico exported more than $20 billion in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, positioning itself as an advanced manufacturing hub in the Caribbean. In addition, more than 60 multinationals operate on the island, benefiting from its bilingual workforce and preferential access to the U.S. market. These strengths, coupled with world-class infrastructure and competitive corporate rates of up to 4%, position Puerto Rico as a strategic connection point between three continents.
Gain Solutions’ strategic collaborator, Invest Puerto Rico, will highlight how these competitive advantages translate into real opportunities in sectors such as biosciences, advanced manufacturing, technology and logistics. During the event, the organization will share its vision on how Puerto Rico can serve as a key bridge for international companies looking to expand into emerging and consolidated markets.
“Puerto Rico’s participation in this business meeting reaffirms its position as a strategic bridge between global markets,” said Jorge Fuentes, Director of Institutional Relations at Gain Solutions. “This event is a platform to demonstrate how the island is prepared to attract strategic investments and lead initiatives that drive local and global economic development.”
The collaboration strengthens the efforts of both organizations to attract foreign direct investment, open new routes for sustainable economic growth, and position Puerto Rico as a competitive business hub. Initial projections point to the attraction of companies with investments of more than $25 million, which generate more than 50 jobs per project, with average salaries of $45,000 per year, contributing to the economic development of the island.
“Puerto Rico has the potential to become a key player in the global economy,” said Ricardo Benítez Barajas, CEO of Gain Solutions. “The Spain-Puerto Rico Business Meeting is an invaluable opportunity to connect international companies with the tools and resources necessary to expand into international markets.”
The event will take place on January 27, 2025 at 4:30PM (16:30) at the CEOE headquarters, located at Calle Diego de León, 50, Madrid, Spain. For more information about the event or to register, write to us at info@getgain.co.
