An MP has met with an environmental group to discuss the climate emergency.
Emma Reynolds MP met with Wycombe Friends of the Earth last week to discuss local and national climate issues.
The group was established in 2007 and is made up of a small group of environmental campaigners working to improve the environment in the area.
Emma Reynolds MP said: “It was fantastic to meet with Wycombe Friends of the Earth to discuss air and water pollution, renewable energy development, and how the Government is delivering on climate action via the Warm Homes Plan, Great British Energy, and scrapping the ban on onshore wind development.
“Wycombe Friends of the Earth have led some fantastic community projects, and it was lovely to meet with them to learn more about their positive impact on our local community and environment.”
Wycombe Friends of the Earth said: “We appreciated our meeting with Emma; this provided a great opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on the local and wider issues related to the impact of global warming.
“We explained the Friends of the Earth demands of the government for a more ambitious Climate Plan to cut emissions and improve people’s lives.
“At a local level, we are delighted that Emma would be happy to support our work raising awareness about climate change.”
