The Government’s polarising fast-track legislation originally included environmental provisions which were removed following an early round of ministerial review, Newsroom can reveal.
Documents released under the Official Information Act show Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop rejected an initial purpose statement and requested officials provide advice “on how it can be weighted more in favour of development”.
