One of the Spartans’ upcoming games has been listed as the top game of this week by one college basketball analyst.
Each Monday Andy Katz of the Big Ten Network and NCAA.com releases his top games for the upcoming week, and this week a Spartans’ matchup was at the top of the list. Michigan State’s road game at Michigan on Friday was Katz’s top game of the week.
Michigan State and Michigan are in a tight race for the Big Ten regular season title, with the Wolverines currently holding a one-game lead in the standings. Friday night’s game in Ann Arbor, Mich. will be the first of two matchups between these two rivals, with a win for either team most likely impacting who will end this week in first place of the league.
Both Michigan and Michigan State are 20-5 overall on the year. The Wolverines are 12-2 in Big Ten play and the Spartans hold an 11-3 conference record.
Tipoff from the Crisler Center is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Friday. The game will be televised nationally on FOX.
