There is turmoil in the State’s corporate crime watchdog with a number of staff complaining about a “toxic” work environment under the long-time leadership of its chief executive Ian Drennan.

Sources familiar with the Corporate Enforcement Authority’s (CEA) operations have revealed its criminal enforcement team has been severely depleted and some investigations have stalled due to ongoing disputes with senior management.
