MADISON, Wis. — A local college is putting its own spin on a Broadway classic.
Madison College students have been preparing for their upcoming production of ‘Cabaret,’ which explores themes of love, politics and self expression.
The musical takes place in the 1930’s Berlin.
“It’s heavy, especially in today’s political climate. But you know it’s important to bring the character to life to tell his story,” said Madison College student, Trey Danis III.
Danis play’s as the antagonist, Ernst.
The show will run from March 7-15 at the Mitby Theater. Tickets are $20 for adults, $13 for seniors and youth under the age of 17.
