Schnecksville-based Sustainable Energy Fund has released a request for proposal for projects that will support the deployment of circular energy.

SEF is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services including financing energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Circular energy refers to energy production, consumption, and waste management, which are designed to minimize environmental impact and maximize resource efficiency.

Biodigesters, which convert organic waste into biogas, and agriphotovoltaics, which combines agriculture with solar production, allowing both land uses to coexist are examples of circular energy.

SEF’s financing request is for a 7% loan with flexibility to meet project needs while assessing risk. The anticipated financial range is $50,000-$1 million.

The deadline for receipt of proposals is 4 p.m. May 15.
