The organisation has also formed its first A/NZ Women in Tech special interest group. Member, Tech Pacific graduate and Fabric managing director Patrina Kerr will keynote at 3.30pm.
The GTIA’s US-based chief community officer, MJ Shoer, said the changes would allow GTIA to double-down on the benefits members valued most, expand popular programming into new global regions and explore new benefit programmes.
“All existing member benefits remain in place, as will our current affordable dues structure,” Shoer said. “We will be expanding our premiere event ChannelCon, bringing the ChannelCon brand to Europe with the introduction of ChannelCon EMEA in London in the fall of 2025.”
GTIA also intends to raise its annual charitable giving into the tens of millions of US dollars annually across the globe, he said.
“It will take the better part of this year to establish the necessary infrastructure and processes to grow this activity, but taken together, this will allow GTIA to have an even better impact on the global technology sector.”
Grey said CompTIA had given $40,000 to NZ charities during his time on the council.
