The Public Safety Bureau in North Macedonia today unofficially launched a coordinated action against companies and individuals who have purchased fuel oil, which endangers the health of citizens and the environment.
It is about an exposed network of importers, who illegally distributed derivatives of dubious origin and quality, and then extracted 10 billion denars through fictitious credit agreements and brokerage services, reports KosovaPress.
Otherwise, these fuels often contain high levels of sulfur, heavy metals, or other harmful compounds that can lead to serious air and soil pollution. According to reports from several institutions, several thousand citizens lose their lives every year, and pollution is considered one of the biggest reasons for emigration.
