JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Jonesboro police officers had quite a run-in with a turkey while dealing with some horses on the loose.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, on Sunday, March 16, officers responded to the 3000 block of North Church Street for a report of stray horses in a ditch bank.
JPD said the officers placed the horses in a secure area and decided to take a few photos.
That’s when JPD said a “violent attack” occurred with a turkey on the property.
“No animals or fowl were injured during this encounter, and they were left safe and sound on the property until the owners could claim them, JPD said. “No worries, Tom Turkey got the last lick before officers left the scene.”
