Turkish Airlines has introduced new flights to Ohrid, one of North Macedonia’s most prominent tourism hubs, marking its 353rd destination in its extensive global network. This marks the airline’s second destination in North Macedonia, following the capital city of Skopje.

The national carrier of Turkey, renowned for offering the most extensive flight network worldwide, will operate four weekly flights between Istanbul Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport throughout the summer. The addition of Ohrid strengthens Turkish Airlines’ regional connectivity, providing passengers with greater travel choices across Europe.

Ohrid, famous for its breathtaking Lake Ohrid—one of Europe’s richest areas in biodiversity—was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. The entire city, celebrated for its cultural, historical, and natural significance, was later placed under UNESCO protection in 1980, cementing its status as a symbol of the region.

Turkish Airlines has launched the new route, which is expected to foster tourism and business while enhancing cultural exchange between Ohrid and the world.

As part of the new route’s launch, Turkish Airlines is offering special promotional fares for flights booked between April 1-15, 2025, for travel between April 15 and August 28, 2025. One-way fares from Istanbul to Ohrid start at £107, available through the official Turkish Airlines website. Prices may vary at ticket offices or travel agencies.
