British Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrives in Kosovo

    The United Kingdom has been and remains a strong supporter of Kosovo, a guarantor of security and stability in the region, as well as a key partner in the process of state-building and international integration, the MFA statement said, KosovaPress reports.

    At Pristina International Airport, “Adem Jashari”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, welcomed the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, David Lammy, during his official visit to Kosovo. This visit highlights the joint commitment to strengthening ties between the two states and advancing peace and stability in the region and beyond.

    In addition to Kosovo’s important achievements, such as strengthening the rule of law and democracy, economic development and international integration, Minister Gërvalla informed Secretary Lammy about security challenges in the Balkans, including Serbia’s destabilizing actions and Russian influence, which continue to endanger regional stability.

    She emphasized that only through joint actions with allies can the preservation of peace and stability be ensured, not only in Kosovo, but throughout the region and beyond.

    Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani will meet with the UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy tomorrow. The media will be able to take pictures at the beginning of the meeting, while President Osmani and Secretary Lammy will make statements to the media afterwards. The meeting will be held at the President’s Office, at 08:25.

    The partnership between Kosovo and the United Kingdom will continue to strengthen and deepen, with a focus on improving cooperation in the areas of security, economics and international politics.
