Spain’s seasonally- and calendar-adjusted industrial output fell 1.9% in February from the same month a year earlier, official data from the country’s national statistics institute (INE) showed on Friday.
Analysts polled by Reuters expected it to register a 0% variation.
INE also revised down the year-on-year figure for the month of January to a 1.2% contraction from an original decline of 1%.
