The Kosovo national football team players have remained in the race for promotion to League B of the Nations League.

Kosovo defeated North Macedonia 3:0 on Tuesday afternoon.

The first two goals were scored by Kaltrina Biqkaj in the 50th and 66th minutes.

Biqkaj also assisted on the final goal scored by Erëleta Memeti in the 85th minute.

The match took place at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina and belonged to Group 6 of League C of the Nations League. 
Kosovo’s victory over North Macedonia was very important after the defeat it suffered on February 25th against Latvia.

Latvia leads Group 6 with six points but has one game less to play. Kosovo also has six points in second place. North Macedonia is last with no points. 
Only the group winner is guaranteed a place in League B.
Kosovo will host Latvia on June 3 in the match that will decide which team will advance to League B.

Kosovo was in League C in the first edition of the Nations League, but won the group and advanced to Group B in the qualifications for “Euro 2025”. In the qualifications, it lost all group matches with Wales, Ukraine and Croatia and thus returned to Group C for the second edition of the Nations League.

Kosovo’s players have also scored their second goal against North Macedonia.

Kaltrina Biqkaj scored again for 2:0 in the 66th minute. Biqkaj also scored the first goal in the 50th minute.

The match is taking place at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina and belongs to Group 6 of League C of the Nations League.
