This position assumes particular weight, as it concerns direct offensive actions with serious consequences for the civilian population and civilian infrastructure.
The Tishreen Dam is one of the most important sources of water and energy for the war-torn country, and its targeting creates terrifying humanitarian and environmental threats.

Greece’s strong condemnation serves as a clear message against Turkey’s unilateral military actions, which undermine regional stability and burden the position of the multi-ethnic people of the Eastern Mediterranean country.
Sekeris’ intervention raises the issue at an international level and strengthens the voices calling for respect for international law and protection of critical infrastructure.
