The continuation of the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 12:00.

This was announced in a notice posted on the website of the Kosovo Assembly.

A day earlier, the Parliament failed to verify the mandates of the MPs who emerged from the February 9 elections. The opposition so far said that it voted against on the pretext that the Prime Minister and the ministers want to take up the post of MP “without resigning yet”. And government officials have said that after the end of the mandate, before certification as MPs, they are considered to have effectively resigned. Thus, the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has also said that he has sent a letter confirming his resignation to the current Speaker of the Parliament.

After the failure to verify the mandates, the session was adjourned.

After the verification of mandates, the agenda of the session included the swearing-in of the deputies and then the election of the president and vice presidents.

The Assembly’s Rules of Procedure provide that the constitutive session cannot be interrupted for longer than 48 hours.
