Andy Munce, a Sanford Health veteran with over 20 years of experience in the health care sector, will fill the role.
Munce has previously held the roles of chief operating officer and interim president and CEO for the Sioux Falls area.
“Andy has demonstrated exceptional leadership, not only in the past few months while serving in his interim role, but throughout his career at Sanford Health,” said system vice president of health services operations Mike LeBeau, M.D.
Munce is a graduate of South Dakota State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and his master’s degree in nursing administration.
In 2004, Munce joined Sanford as an RN in the surgical cardiovascular unit and has since held several leadership roles, most recently as chief operating officer and interim president and CEO of Sioux Falls Medical Center.

“It is an honor to lead the incredible caregivers and dedicated staff in the Sioux Falls region of Sanford Health, where we all have the same goal to deliver the highest quality care to every patient,” said Munce.
