It’s been an interesting few months for the Los Angeles Lakers after the seismic Luka Dončić trade, but now comes the real test with the start of the NBA playoffs on Saturday. The 6-seed Minnesota Timberwolves (49-33) will look to play spoiler in this first-round series despite their underdog status, though Dončić, LeBron James and the rest of the 3-seed Lakers (50-32) should prove a tough matchup. The Lakers and Timberwolves have not met in the playoffs since a 2004 conference finals featuring Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett.
