SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 30 (SeeNews) – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has resumed its work in Bosnia after an audit by the president Donald Trump administration showed that the agency’s Sarajevo office had operated without any serious deficiencies, Bosnian news outlet Indikator reported on Wednesday.

Following a suspension of almost two months, USAID has resumed work on projects within the Green Agenda related to energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and energy market regulation, Indikator reported. The implementation of other projects is also expected to resume soon.

In February, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio paused all U.S. foreign assistance funded by or through the State Department and USAID, in line with president Donald Trump’s executive order on reevaluating U.S. foreign aid.

From 2000 to 2024, USAID invested over $400 million (351.4 million euro) in projects in Bosnia, according to Indikator.
