SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), May 2 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia’s NLB Banka [MSE:TNB], part of Slovenian banking group Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), said its net profit increased 6.1% on the year to 719.5 million denars ($13.2 million/11.7 million euro) in the first quarter of the year.

The lender’s net interest income inched up 1.2% on the year to 1.2 billion denars in the January-March period, whereas net fee and commission income increased 16.6% to 373.6 million denars, NLB Banka said in a financial statement earlier this week.

Its total assets came in at 126.7 billion denars at the end of March, down from 131.2 billion denars at the end of 2024.

Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 85.95 billion denars at the end of March from 84.15 billion denars at the end of 2024, while deposits from such customers dropped to 100.76 billion denars from 106.9 billion denars.

NLB Banka’s shares traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) at an average price of 60,000 denars on Wednesday, latest available bourse data showed.
