Norway’s DNB Manufacturing PMI slipped to 46.1 in April 2025 from a downwardly revised 50.1 in the previous month.
This marked the first contraction since June 2024, and the sharpest pace of decline since July 2020, driven by a deterioration in production (46.5 vs 50.8 in March).
In addition, new orders (38.2 vs 47.4) and employment (53.0 vs 54.2) slowed, while delivery times (52.6 vs 50.6) lengthened.
Meanwhile, inventory levels increased (54.9 vs 52.6).
The index for input prices fell by 3.6 points, reaching 57.3 in April.
