Taking flight into its fourth decade of music, the 32nd annual Great Blue Heron Music Festival returns to Sherman, New York, July 4-6.

The festival will honor co-founder David Tidquist, who died in November. The main stage has been renamed David’s Stage.

Three-dozen bands are scheduled to perform across four stages.

The festival offers multiple activities including wellness practices, drum circles, instrument workshops, dance lessons, activities for teenagers and kids and more.

The event includes an eclectic mix of musical genres, with the foundation of Americana and old-time mountain music, according to the festival website. Through the years, lineups have expanded to also include reggae, Celtic, funk, jam, soul, afrobeat, zydeco, roots-rock and more.
