A person was completely burned inside a car on Sunday in the village of Leshan, Suhareka, at around 14:24 PM.
Kosovo Police announced to KOMA that police authorities were notified by a citizen that the car was burning, and it was found at the scene, while it was said that the 82-year-old man with the initials MG was inside.
Police investigations are underway into this incident, and the case has been initiated as a “death investigation.”
Firefighters, emergency services and fire experts have also arrived at the scene.
“On 04/05/2025, at around 14:24, a person reported the police via phone that in the village of Leshan, Suhareka, at the place called ‘Tuma’ a car is burning and inside the car there is a person covered in flames. The police patrol immediately went to the scene and all the units responsible for the case were informed such as: Firefighters, Emergency, The Investigations Sector of the Suhareka Police Station and the Regional Investigations Sector as well as the fire expert. From the first information it is suspected that at the place called ‘Tuma’ the person “The 82-year-old male MG who was inside his vehicle was completely engulfed in fire, in which case the person who remained inside was completely burned along with the entire vehicle at the scene,” the statement from the police spokesman for the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi, states.
