Earlier today, Kyle Alessandro completed his first technical rehearsal on the stage of St. Jakobshalle in Basel. Although the rehearsal itself proceeded smoothly, the day took an unexpected turn as he was rushed into emergency dental surgery shortly afterward.

Wisdom tooth removal for Kyle Alessandro

It all began earlier in the week, when Alessandro started experiencing pain in his mouth. Initially dismissing it, he continued with his preparations, relying on strong painkillers to ease the pain. However, by the time he stepped on stage for his first rehearsal, the pain had intensified significantly.

Immediately after completing his rehearsal, he was taken to a dental emergency facility where doctors diagnosed a severe gum infection and the medical team advised the immediate removal of the wisdom tooth.

Following the surgery, Kyle is strongly advised to rest and avoid physical activities until at least Wednesday. This has led to necessary adjustments in the Norwegian delegation’s schedule, including a temporary pause to rehearsals and international media interviews that were originally planned for the coming days.

Norway with Kyle Alessandro and “Lighter” will perform on the First Semi-Final on May 13, performing eight.
