In the big picture?
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ biggest personnel problem is at the quarterback position. … and at the risk of being snarky, that may remain the case even if the irritatingly indecisive Aaron Rodgers does sign here.

But there are those who think this offense, which can now feature DK Metcalf (following his trade get) and George Pickens (barring his trade exit), also is in need of additional weaponry at running back.
Maybe Najee Harris’ free agency departure to the Los Angeles Chargers has something to do with that. After all, he’s a perennial 1,000-yard rusher … and last year, Pittsburgh averaged 127.4 rushing yards per game, a mark just outside the league’s top 10.
Coordinator Arthur Smith has a run-first style that can save a QB …
And so this team doubled-down on this concept of commitment in the draft, selecting Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson in the third round to add to veteran ball-carrier Jaylen Warren in this Steelers backfield.

So amid a rumor of a major move here … why in the world do they need to add Nick Chubb?
We mean no disrespect here to Chubb, who is clearly – no surprise – grinding hard this offseason to return to full health after a nasty 2023 knee injury robbed him of some of what made him great in Cleveland.
But last year in Cleveland, his comeback allowed him to produce 3.3 yards per carry.
The Browns have seemingly moved on, at least for now, by drafting a pair of rookies in Quinshon Judkins and Dylan’s Sampson. And they’ve moved some Jerome Ford money to make him more affordable, too.
Bottom line: Cleveland knows and loves Chubb … but doesn’t seem to want him.
So why should Pittsburgh?
