GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – “Forward Together Wisconsin” hosted a special event to share information about direct pay with area tax-exempt organizations.

It took place at the NWTC’s Great Lakes Energy Education Center. “FTW” is a non-profit group that advocates clean energy.

Their event on Monday addressed organizations and their ability to access federal tax credits.

That includes schools, houses of worship, electric vehicles, and clean energy-related projects.

The event helped teach different ways direct pay can be used to make clean energy upgrades more affordable.

“It’s a really exciting time because there is an opportunity for folks to save money at a time where prices continue to rise. It will be great to save some money on your energy bill! And whether you are a household who’s struggling at the grocery store, which is the case for far too many people in this state… we want to provide some relief and comfort and show you exactly how to do that,” Mandela Barnes, President of Forward Together Wisconsin.

Several speakers laid out different strategies for everyone to take advantage of the opportunities available.
