SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), May 6 (SeeNews) – Prices in North Macedonia’s restaurants and hotels rose by an annual 4.4% in April, after increasing by 6.9% on the year in March, the country’s statistical office said on Tuesday.

In April, the highest annual price growth was observed in overnight accommodation at 8%, followed by a 6.6% increase in non-alcoholic beverages, a 4.9% rise in alcoholic drinks, and a 3% increase in food prices, the statistical office said in a data release.

On a monthly comparison basis, prices of food advanced by 0.2%, whereas those of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks rose 0.1%. Prices of overnight accommodation remained unchanged in April, compared with the previous month.

Overall, prices in restaurants and hotels rose by 0.1% on the month in April.

In 2024, prices in North Macedonia’s restaurants and hotels increased by an annual 5.6%.
