Alabama is on the cusp of a transformative era—one defined by opportunity, innovation, and economic growth. But to seize this moment, we must address a critical question: do we have the energy infrastructure to power our future?

The “Powering Growth” legislative package soared through the Alabama Legislature and offers a resounding answer to that question — yes, we can.

What this package of bills will do now that it is passed, will allow Alabama to compete for industry looking to reshore and bring jobs back to the United States. The world is changing and as America looks to benefit from a resurgent manufacturing base, we need to have the industrial capacity to accommodate those changes.

What makes the Powering Growth plan so compelling is that it doesn’t rely on bloated government programs or tax increases. Instead, it unleashes the private sector, clears bureaucratic roadblocks, and creates the conditions for job creation and investment—especially in rural communities that have too often been left behind.

By cutting red tape, streamlining permitting for electric transmission, and fixing government-caused supply chain delays, this plan ensures businesses can build faster and more affordably. These are common-sense reforms that reduce government interference and empower entrepreneurs to do what they do best—solve problems and create value.

This is how we win the future: not with handouts, but with targeted investments that attract private capital, leverage federal resources, and deliver real results for Alabamians.

The Powering Growth plan is more than good policy—it’s the embodiment of conservative principles in action. It mirrors President Trump’s America First energy agenda: cutting red tape, unleashing domestic energy, and ensuring that energy security is national security. Powering Growth ensures we don’t just compete—we lead.

That’s the kind of responsible leadership we need more of—not just in Montgomery, but across the country.

Alabama is ready to lead, and thanks to our legislature we now have the policy passed to ensure we have the power to do it.
