Kosovo will represent ten karatekas at the European Senior Championships, which will be held in Yerevan, Armenia, from Wednesday to Sunday.
Kosovo will be represented by Elmedina Istogu in the category up to 61 kilograms, Redona Gashi up to 50 kilograms, Vlera Qerimi up to 68 kilograms, Anila Foniqi up to 55 kilograms, Foretesa Orana over 68 kilograms, Jakup Ajdari in the category up to 84 kilograms, Betim Maliqi up to 75 kilograms, Islam Selmani up to 60 kilograms, and Alma Loki in kata.
“Armenia does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, but Kosovo participates with state symbols and with all equal rights. The competitions begin tomorrow and the FKK wishes the competitors success,” the FKK announcement reads.
In Armenia, Kosovo will also appear in the team competitions with both competitions.
