North Macedonia’s annual inflation rate eased slightly to 2.6% in April 2025, down from 2.7% in the previous month.

The moderation was mainly driven by slower price increases in several categories, including miscellaneous goods and services (2.7% vs 3.8% in March), restaurants and hotels (11.4% vs 12%), and food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.5% vs 2.1%).

However, these effects were partially offset by stronger inflation in furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house (4.4% vs 3.3%), and recreation and culture (6.8% vs 6%).

Additionally, the pace of price declines slowed in transport (-1.7% vs -3.8%).

On a monthly basis, the CPI rose by 0.6%, rebounding from a 1.3% drop in the previous month.
