The coaching staff of North Macedonia has gained another member. Stojanče Stoilov, current assistant coach at RK Vardar Skopje and former long-time national team player and two-time European club champion, has joined the national team.

Macedonia’s head coach, Kiril Lazarov, welcomed Stoilov to the team, emphasizing that the support of such legends is always welcome. He also pointed out that any player or staff member who can contribute to the national team is welcome.

“We have a new addition to this gathering, Stojanče Stoilov joins our coaching staff. He will be with the entire coaching staff that was with us at the World Championship. Anyone who wants to offer support is welcome, whether they are our legends, players, or coaches who have been through a lot of top-level handball, who know the game. So, any support from a top Macedonian legend who has been through these types of games and matches at a higher level is welcome,” said Lazarov.

Macedonia concludes the qualifiers for the 2026 European Championship with matches against Estonia away and Lithuania at home. The match in Tallinn will be played on May 8, while the game against Lithuania in Skopje, at the “Jane Sandanski” Sports Center, is scheduled for May 11.
