The acting government has decided to send a contingent of the Kosovo Security Force to a humanitarian operation in the Republic of Albania.

According to a media release, this was decided at a meeting held electronically.

It is clarified there that the financial means for sending this contingent are provided by the Kosovo budget.

This is about the humanitarian search and rescue operation in the area called “Burrell’s Neck” in Klos. For several days now, a search and rescue operation has been underway in this area to find a young man who went missing after a water tank burst near the chrome processing factory.

“This support is within the framework of the strategic partnership with friendly countries and in particular with Albania, in this case to support the authorities of the Albanian state,” the announcement states.
