Actors to perform murder mystery at downtown Madison venue
MADISON (WKOW) — The comedic murder mystery “Clue” is set to entertain audiences at the Overture Center from May 13 to May 18. Inspired by the popular Hasbro board game and the 1985 film, the stage play promises a mix of laughter and suspense.
The production is directed by Broadway’s Casey Hushion, known for her work on “Mean Girls” and “The Prom.” The play features a cast of characters embroiled in a night of mystery and intrigue at Boddy Manor.
Jennifer Allen stars as Mrs. Peacock, with Christina Anthony as Miss Scarlet and David Hess as Colonel Mustard, among others. The show’s design elements include scenic design by Lee Savage and costume design by Jen Caprio.
The “Clue” franchise, which began in 1949 with the board game “Cluedo,” has sold over 200 million copies worldwide. The stage play is produced by The Araca Group and others, continuing the legacy of this beloved classic.
Tickets, priced from $32.46 to $146.40, are available at overture.org.
