Kosovo Police announced that a person was found dead in Prizren, and according to initial suspicions, he killed himself with a gun he purchased from two people.
The police spokesman in the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi, told KHOHA that two people, one 24 and the other 23 years old, met on Sunday around 18:20 the person with the initials AT, 24 years old, who, when he picked up the gun, shot himself.
Police authorities arrived at the scene, and the doctor pronounced him dead.
The body has been sent for examination to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
The case is being treated as “suspicious death” and “unauthorized possession, possession or control of a weapon.”
“Today, on 11.05.2025, at around 18:20 at the Prizren-North Police Station, two people one 24 and the other 23 years old, have reported that while they met with a third person – “The victim, 24-year-old AT, was given a pistol to sell. As soon as the victim took the weapon, he shot himself,” Bytyqi’s statement said.
