If they succeed, will people trust their robots? What would a world with robot friends in your house look like?
People seem to think that making a robot or AI that people love is some kind of “gotcha”, but people will see a stick or a rock on the ground and want to keep it forever. You give a robot a big eyes and a round head, and people are gonna love it. If you make it do people favors like bringing them food or drinks, it’ll be their best friend. I don’t think it’ll be that difficult for robotics companies.
