Pointless, we barely have forests anymore, just patches of deforestation everywhere and all farmland.

And how did the landscape look 3,000 years ago compared to today.

    So let’s not.

Ah yes, let’s have elk stroll into new build estates and attempt to eat artificial grass which remains inexplicably legal…

Now all we need to is to re-introduce Bears again in the Scottish highlands

  5. Go for it! I am all for rewilding the UK, as it has been utterly decimated through human activity.

There’s already thousands of red deer over grazing in the Scottish Highlands leading to the baron green desert landscapes.

We need apex predators like lynx or wolves if we want to drastically improve biodiversity.

I am all for this, under the condition that predators are reintroduced first. We already have an overpopulation of deer due to the fact that our largest natural predator is the Red Fox, which cannot take down most species of deer very easily. Reintroduce Wolves, Bears and Lynx first, then start bringing more herbivores back.

  8. The Greenland Sharks will be happy. Don’t we tend to find thing like Moose (as well as Polar Bears) in their stomachs?

I dunno why people are up in arms about this. We’re all going to be dead in 3000 years’ time, what’s the big deal?

I find all this stuff about ecosystem balancing totally fascinating. Does anyone know what the actual benefits are of reintroducing this species? Not for farming, then what?

I’m love wildlife. But I also love wildlife that won’t kill me of if I walk the wrong way. Can I just stick with a pissed off squirrel?
