Boz Scaggs is coming to Salina this year, with a show this fall at the Stiefel Theatre.
Scaggs’ Rhythm Review 2025 tour will makes its way Nov. 2 to the venue, with tickets going on sale May 16.
An early bandmate of Steve Miller in The Ardells and then part of the Steve Miller Band, Scaggs also has had a solo career since 1969, which really took off in 1976 with his “Silk Degrees” album, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Boz Scaggs performed in 2019 at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre in Alabama. Scaggs will perform Nov. 2 at the Stiefel Theatre in Salina.
Since then the album has been certified five-times Platinum, selling 5 million copies. His next two albums “Down Two Then Left” and “Middle Man” were also certified Platinum, selling more than 1 million copies each.
Scaggs went on hiatus throughout much of the 1980s but returned in 1988 joining the New York Rock and Soul Revue and opening the Slim’s nightclub in San Francisco.
Since then, he has continued to record and tour, with his most recent album, “Out of the Blues,” releasing in 2018.
Scaggs influential in formation of the band Toto
Additionally, Scaggs has been credited with helping form the group Toto, with members of that band, David Paich, David Hungate and Jeff Porcaro all appearing on his “Silk Degrees” album.
The three had already performed together on other projects, such as with Steely Dan, after touring with Scaggs, solidified the prospect of starting their own band.
Toto was signed to a contract by Columbia “without audition” because of their talent performing with Scaggs.
“I’m not sure if Toto would have happened as soon, or quite the same way, without Silk Degrees,” Paich said.
Scaggs and members of Toto have since collaborated on several projects and performed concerts together.
