The annual inflation rate in Kosovo climbed to 3% in April 2025, the highest since October 2023, up from 2.9% in the previous month.
The increase was primarily driven by higher prices in food and non-alcoholic beverages (7% vs 6.6% in March), particularly coffee, tea, and cocoa, which rose sharply by 16.4%, housing and utilities (2.3% vs -0.9%), and restaurants and hotels (6.5% vs 5.6%).
However, the overall rise in inflation was partially offset by a further decline in transport costs (-3.9% vs -2.1%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.2% in April, the lowest rate in five months, following a 0.8% rise in the previous month.
