On Thursday, the Members of the Assembly of Kosovo were handed a letter from the Constitutional Court, informing them that they could send comments regarding the request for an assessment of the constitutionality of the decision not to vote on the formation of the Committee for a secret ballot for the election of the Speaker of the Assembly, submitted by the AAK.
The announcement by the Deputy Secretary of the Assembly, Arben Loshi, was distributed to the deputies in the plenary hall where the 16th attempt to constitute the Assembly is expected to take place today.
“Attached to this letter, I am sending you the notification of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo for the registration of the request KO124/25, submitted by the deputy Time Kadrijaj and ten (10) other deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, regarding the assessment of the constitutionality of the ‘Decision of May 5, 2025 on the non-voting of the formation of the Committee for Secret Voting for the election of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo’. The deputies of the Assembly may submit their comments in writing, if they are related to the aforementioned request, no later than May 19, 2025,” the notification states.
