Typical May weather is forecast for most of Greece on Sunday, with sunshine and scattered clouds. Localized showers are expected only in parts of northeastern Greece, including Thrace and the eastern Aegean islands, particularly in the north.
Elsewhere, conditions will be mostly clear with some afternoon cloudiness over the mainland and Crete, where isolated mountain showers may develop. Visibility will be locally limited in the early morning hours over western mainland regions.
Winds will blow from the west-northwest at 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, reaching up to 6 in southern areas.
Temperatures will range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius in most regions, with eastern mainland areas and Crete seeing highs of 26 to 27 degrees. Morning lows will be cooler inland, especially in western Macedonia and Epirus.
Athens will be mostly sunny with temperatures between 15 and 26 degrees Celsius. Thessaloniki will see similar conditions, with a high of 23. In the islands, light to moderate winds are expected, and temperatures will generally stay between 16 and 24 degrees.
