Air Canada has introduced a new non-stop flight from Montréal to Naples, Italy, landing for the first time on May 19, 2025.

This route marks the airline’s first service to Naples and its fourth direct connection between Canada and Italy, joining Rome, Milan, and Venice.

The flight opens the door to the stunning Amalfi Coast and the historic ruins of Pompeii, making Naples a must-visit destination.

New Transatlantic Route

Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, shared his enthusiasm for the new route. “We’re thrilled to launch this non-stop service to Naples, a beautiful addition to our global network.

From Montréal, our growing Transatlantic hub, customers can easily explore Southern Italy’s charm. This route strengthens ties between Canada and Italy, uniting two vibrant cities and fostering connections between our countries.”

Air Canada has served Italy since 2005, and this new flight reflects its commitment to the market. This summer, the airline will offer up to 39 weekly flights to Italy, with over 13,000 seats available each week across its four Italian destinations.

“We’re proud to provide more travel options, connecting families, businesses, and tourists,” Galardo added.

Canada-Italy Connection

The new route also holds special significance for Canada-Italy relations. Elissa Golberg, Canada’s Ambassador to Italy, offered further comment during the celebration of the launch

“This direct flight between Montréal and Naples is more than a travel link. It’s a bridge for collaboration in business, education, culture, and innovation. I’m excited to see how it brings our communities closer together.” The flight strengthens an already robust partnership between the two nations.

Italy’s Ambassador to Canada, Alessandro Cattaneo, highlighted the boost to tourism. “This route will attract even more Canadians to Italy, especially with Naples hosting the America’s Cup in 2027.”

“It’s a timely addition, and I’m confident Canadian visitors will love exploring Naples and beyond with this convenient connection.”
