  2. They’ve been trying to find Planet X for almost a hundred years. Is it worth clicking on the link or is it the same bs as always?

    Edit to add: it literally says that this makes it less likely that Planet X exists. So fair I will not take offence.

    It’s not a new dwarf planet. It’s not even a dwarf planet candidate yet. And over 400 dwarf planet candidates have been discovered.

    The crazy thing is this thing has been hiding in plain sight on at least 19 different pictures over the past seven years and no one noticed it.

    Could we just automate more of this with AI? Like feed the computer a couple billion pictures with their sky coordinates and say, hey, map every object in these pics and create a master picture.

  5. I thought I just read about the possibility of a Neptune-sized planet that takes 10,000 to 20,000 earth years to orbit around the Sun earlier this week. I assume this is totally unrelated.
