SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 23 (SeeNews) – Average consumer prices in Bosnia’s Serb Republic increased 3.6% on the year in April, following a 3.3% rise in March, the entity’s statistical office said.

    In a monthly comparison, prices in April inched up 0.3%, after increasing 0.1% in March, the Serb Republic’s statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.

    Average prices of food and alcoholic beverages, which carry the largest weight in the consumer basket, rose 8.1% on the year and were 1.2% higher on the month in April.

    In 2024, inflation in the Serb Republic eased to 1.8%, from 7% in 2023.

    The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
