My friend and I walked past this very discrete-looking restaurant last week, and as you can see there’s no signage and minimal branding. I’ve not been able to find anything helpful (or at least in English) on Google, so I was hoping the lovely people here could inform me?:)

    1. Hey! What you stumbled across isn’t a regular walk-in restaurant at all – it’s **Femtisju Contemporary** (“Femtisju” is Norwegian for *fifty-seven*). The space at **Torvgaten 57A in Gamlebyen** is a mash-up of:

      * **An art gallery & event venue** – they curate small exhibitions, author readings, concerts, etc. The artists’ names you saw on the window (Tim Walker, Rune Johansen, Christian Bloom, …) are recent exhibitors.
      * **A private tasting room** – pop-up dinners, wine/olive-oil tastings and the like, always capped at 57 guests (hence the name). Reservations open online and fill up fast.
      * **A pop-up interior shop called “Hos Bella”** that opens by appointment and sells vintage ceramics, books, and Italian deli goods (you’ll see *Tenuta Elmata* olive oil on the little brass plaque outside).

Because it’s event-based, the door is usually locked unless something is scheduled. If you want to check it out, keep an eye on:
