Beginning on June 19, the summer concert series Rockin’ at the River returns for its sixth season this summer.
Performances will take place at the band shell at Humiston-Riverside Park. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will take place at the Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center.
The shows are free and open to concertgoers of all ages. It is recommended that concertgoers bring their own lawn chairs to sit back and relax. There will also be food vendors.
The Rockin’ at the River concert series has a diverse lineup covering genres from jazz to reggae to rock and roll.

Here is the lineup for this year’s series.
June 19: The Breakfast Club is a 1980s “high energy cover band” from Chicago.
July 17: Hurricane Reggae Band is making a return appearance. According to its website, the band “brings a unique reggae experience built on a rich history and a passion for infectious rhythms.”
July 31: The Sweet Nothings is a traditional jazz band from the Bloomington-Normal area.
Aug. 14: 66 Ramblers is from the Springfield area and plays a rockabilly style. According to its website, the 66 Ramblers specialize in the 1950s and ‘60s era — from “Elvis to the Beatles, Buddy Holly to Chuck Berry, we deliver the classic hits that defined a generation.”
Aug. 28: Disco Circus Band is an extension of the popular Libido Funk Circus. It’s a disco/funk tribute band that creates “a next level nostalgic experience by combining the energy and excitement of a 3-ring circus,” according to its website.
Sept. 20: Cadillac Groove will close out the season with the only Saturday concert of the series. It will take place in conjunction with the final cruise night. Cadillac Groove’s website notes that the band plays “Southern Rock, Blues, Funk, R&B, Soul, and all points in between.”
