A contingent of 152 troops from the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has departed for the United States to participate in the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) program.

President Vjosa Osmani, who had just returned from a visit to the U.S., wished the troops success in a message shared on Facebook:
“This morning, upon arriving from the United States, I wished a safe journey and success to the 152 members of the Kosovo Security Force traveling to the U.S. to take part in the Joint Readiness Training Center program.”

The JRTC, located at Fort Polk in Louisiana, focuses on enhancing unit readiness through highly realistic and intense training exercises that cover the full spectrum of current and future conflict scenarios. It trains multi-component forces, including active Army brigade combat teams, National Guard units, and Army Reserve elements, providing them with the most comprehensive and critical training available in the U.S. military today.

For over 25 years, JRTC’s mission has been to prepare soldiers and combat teams to withstand the harsh realities of war. The center fosters strong alliances and partnerships and builds a lethal, mission-ready force for both present and future challenges.
